McKinley Packaging, a growing Corrugated Packaging manufacturer is seeking an experienced Corrugator Plant Scheduler at our greenfield facility located in Lancaster, TX.
This role has responsibility for all day-to-day planning and scheduling of the facility's material flow and production equipment including roll stock management. The position contributes to the plant's performance by assisting the plant in achieving established goals and objectives in the areas of on time delivery, inventory management, maximizing corrugator web utilization, minimizing corrugator trim percentage, and operating with standard roll widths and board grades whenever possible.
This position reports to the Plant Manager and works closely with Customer Service, Production and Shipping to meet customer requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maximize facility's corrugator and converting performance from a capacity planning and utilization standpoint via creative and effective scheduling of orders.
- Maintain trim percentage at or below plant established goals.
- Maintain inventory levels within established targets for roll stock allocation and budgetary limits.
- Build effective partnerships with plant leadership and staff functions to drive expected results.
- Ensure adequate backlogs at converting machines at all times to maximize throughput efficiency and minimize downtime.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of planning/scheduling experience in a Corrugated Manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership in productivity, quality and safety
- Strong computer skills, including inventory management programs, KIWI and SAP
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Results driven
